A free public talk to celebrate the Year of Faith is being held at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham this Tuesday 23rd October.

The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI announced that the Catholic Church will celebrate a Year of Faith from 11th October 2012 – 24th November 2013. To mark the occasion, St Mary’s is hosting a free public talk, which will be led by Catholic journalist and broadcaster Joanna Bogle.

Entitled ‘Faith, Culture and the New Evangelisation’, Joanna will explore Catholic traditions and heritage including feast-days and fast-days, the origins of pub signs, jokes, old sayings and nursery rhymes in a celebration of the feast of faith.
