Luke Hughes (current PhD student), Paul Head (current PhD student) and Dr Stephen Patterson’s work has recently been covered in a new blog post by the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

The original blog post can be found on the British Journal of Sports Medicine website. The application of blood flow restriction training has become widespread amongst elite athletes and practitioners as a rehab tool to help them return to play earlier.

The possibility to increase muscle mass and strength whilst using low loads is an attractive proposition for those who are load compromised due to injury or who have just had surgery.
