The Department of Business, Law and Society offers students vocationally-relevant, professionally accredited, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the highest academic standards in the fields of business, law, criminology, politics and communication.

Business research at St Mary's is very diverse and cross disciplinary. Staff research spans most areas of business such as marketing, finance, strategy, human resources, entrepreneurship, business ethics and globalisation.
Research in Law concentrates on areas such as the business ethics, legal education and the historical impact of female lawyers. Staff have published high profile books and articles on these subjects.
