Understanding sex and gender
The Benedict XVI Centre for Society and Religion at St Mary’s University has partnered with the Humanum Institute and St Patrick’s Church, Soho, to offer a two-day, multidisciplinary, professional conference on the topic of gender.
Experts from the fields of philosophy, psychology, biology, law, and pastoral practice will offer insights into this challenging area. Additionally, UK top legal experts will give a workshop to advise educators about the changing and challenging legal situations for faith schools.
The conference on Friday 13th - Saturday 14th July is open to academics, teachers, parents, chaplains, catechists, pastors, and anyone interested in learning more.
We hope that the conference will be an excellent opportunity for networking with others interested in this issue as well as assisting in continuing professional development.
Friday’s keynote address, “Sexuality, Evangelisation, and Discipleship: Humane Vitae 50 Years Later” is free and open to the public.
