Timbuktu (2019/2020 CREMCYA/CSMS International Film Series)
Venue: G5, St Mary's University
Facilitator: Dr Kathleen Fincham
Topic: Poverty, conflict, gender, religious extremism, globalisation
The Centre for Research into the Education of Marginalised Children and Young Adults (CREMCYA) and the Centre for the Study of Modern Slavery (CSMS) announce their 2019/20 International Film Series.
This international film series aims to raise awareness about the social, cultural, economic and political contexts in which young people live their lives around the world. Our facilitators will create an engaging platform for students, researchers, academics and practitioners to share their ideas about the issues mentioned in each film.
CREMCYA and CSMS welcome anyone interested in broadening their horizons through visual arts. Please save the dates for the confirmed screenings and feel free to invite people from your networks. More information about the rest of the program will be provided in due course.
The films will be screened in their original languages with English subtitles.
