30 years on from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 which established the framework for the regulation of assisted reproductive technologies and research in the United Kingdom – is it now time for broader, bolder regulation to address issues of genetics, commercial genomics and cross-border big data?

This talk will be imagining the regulator of the future and the issues that it may have to face thirty years on, in 2050. Dystopia or reality – you decide!

Gemma Hobcraft, a Lecturer in Law at St Mary's, will be the lecturer of the event.

Tea and coffee from 5:30pm.
