Refugee Students’ Psychological and Emotional Wellbeing after Research

Date:
Wednesday 01 April 2020
Time:
1.00pm - 2.00pm

Ethical issues related to protecting vulnerable and marginalised children after exiting the field are insufficiently discussed.

This webinar examines the influence of refugee students’ attachments to researchers in long-term qualitative research on their psychological and emotional wellbeing. Dr Erden will discuss qualitative researchers’ responsibilities to minimise the risk of unintentionally harming refugee students after research.

Dr Ozlem Erden is a post-doctoral researcher in the Centre for Research into the Education of Marginalised Children and Young Adults (CREMCYA) at St Mary’s University.
