A reflection on how a range of recent developments, in society and in the Church, some caused by Covid-19, others brought more sharply into view because of the pandemic, cumulatively pose both a challenge and an opportunity for Catholic educators.

Presented by Professor John Sullivan:

John Sullivan is Emeritus Professor of Christian Education, Liverpool Hope University. His special areas of interest include the interconnections between theology and education, and the match between purposes, contexts and approaches to Christian education. Earlier in his career he taught in secondary schools at every level, from classroom teacher to Headteacher, as well as serving as a Chief Inspector and Head of Professional Development in London, before spending seven years at what is now St Mary's University, Twickenham, providing continuing professional development and management consultancy for schools across the south of England and directing the MA in Catholic School Leadership.

He is author and editor of eight books and almost 100 chapters and articles in the field of religion and education and currently working on two books: Lights for the Path and Christian Humanism for Educators. John continues to be invited to provide professional development for university and school staff, for chaplains, Heads and governors, as well as talks for parishes and church groups.
