An afternoon of music, virtual tasting, poetry and performance from the beautiful Waldegrave Drawing Room at Strawberry Hill House, St Mary’s University.
Live-streamed from the beautiful Waldegrave Drawing Room, four musicians will bring you a flavour of India, while three actors will bring to life an 18th-century Moghal Court. A storyteller will relate the history of Indian food while inviting you to partake in some simple tastings. The music and the monologues unveil the seasons and emotions of the time through the Raga and the song lyrics. New worlds will unfold through the tastings.
After registering for this event, you will receive a confirmation email containing the recipe for the dishes that will be discussed in the webinar.
This event is part of the Being Human festival, the UK’s only national festival of the humanities, taking place 12–22 November.
