We are pleased to announce the inaugural event of the Institute of Theology and Liberal Arts' Representations and Contexts Research Seminar Series

Paper: Kurtz and the Gift from God: The end of St Paul’s ‘charism’ and the rise of secular charismatic leadership in Joseph Conrad’s ‘Heart of Darkness’.

Speaker: Kim Salmons, Associate Professor at St Mary’s University, London, and Conference Secretary of the Joseph Conrad Society UK.

Kim Salmons has published two monographs on food and literature. Her most recent publication is a co-edited volume with Professor Tania Zulli: Migration, Modernity & Transnationalism in Joseph Conrad (Bloomsbury 2021).
