Postponed - St Mary’s University is excited to host our first ever ‘Parents Night’ this November.

Please note that this event has been postponed.

This event is aimed at parents and carers, but year 12s and year 13s applying to university for September 2024 or 2025 entries are more than welcome to come along. The evening will consist of presentations as well as an academic drop-in session, in the hope of providing you with an insight into the higher education process to help your child make an informed decision about their next steps. We hope to provide you with useful advice and guidance, as well as to answer any questions you may have.

The event will not only cover the benefits of university study but will outline the Student Finance application and repayment process, and what support your child may need from you. Academics from different programme areas will also be in attendance, and this is a fantastic opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about entry requirements, course content and career destinations following studying your child’s subject are of choice.

Schedule:

  • 6pm-6:15pm Refreshments
  • 6:15pm-6:30pm Welcome and About St Mary’s
  • 6:30pm-7pm: Why Consider University? 
  • 7pm-7:30pm Student Finance Talk
  • 7:30pm-8:30pm Drop-in session with Academics (refreshments and drinks to be provided)

SMU achieved an overall rating of Silver, which lasts for four years, with student outcomes rated typically very high quality.
