Academic Faculty Senior Management Role Overview
Deputy Provost, Deans and Directors
The Deputy Provost, Dean and Directors, Associate Director of Academic Strategy and the Head of Research are accountable to the Provost for strategic academic, operational and financial performance in their areas.
Associate Deans (Student Experience & Research/Enterprise)
Associate Deans are responsible to the Dean for developing: (a) the performance, cohesion and quality of student-facing provision (TEF); (b) the performance, range and impact of research and enterprise activity.
Director of the Institute of Education
Responsible for the developing of the Institute's profile in the public square and aligning the institute with the sector. Advising the Dean on Educational policy/changes in policy. Line management of Education's HoDs.
Faculty Business Managers
Responsible for developing the operational infrastructure of the Faculty role so it can meet it's academic and financial objectives. Provide communication channels for professional services.
Head of Department
Head of Departments are responsible to the Dean for the academic and financial performance of the Dep't, and are responsible for the day-to-day line management of academic staff.
