Spring graduation 2018:

Dates: Friday 2nd - Saturday 3rd March 2018
Location: University Chapel, St Mary's University

There will be seven ceremonies in total across two days as outlined in the table below.  Graduands should arrive approximately an hour before their ceremony to collect their tickets and gown. Tickets are only available for collection on the day. A clearly signposted Ticket Collection desk will be situated in the main refectory.

Dress Code

It is compulsory for graduands to wear academic dress for their graduation ceremony, and all graduands must follow the dress code below for their ceremony and the garden party:

  • Male Graduands: Dark suit, white shirt and a tie
  • Female Graduands: Smart formal wear

Invitations

All eligible graduands will receive an invitation by email. These webpages contain the same information as the invitation, along with notes for graduands and their guests on what to expect in each ceremony.

Please note: we reserve the right to close ticket bookings early and also to change ceremony times if this becomes necessary.

Additional Support Needs

Whilst the main Chapel can be accessed via a lift, the celebratory meal takes place in a historical building and is not easily accessible by wheelchair.  If you or any of your guests are a wheelchair user, then please let us know when booking your tickets online and we will contact you directly to make arrangements.

Parking

There is no parking on campus, but the University is easily reached by South Western trains alighting at Strawberry Hill station. If you are a Blue Badge holder, parking will be made available for you where available. Please indicate this when booking your tickets.

Certificates

All Graduands should receive their certificates prior to the ceremony by post. 


Summer graduation 2018

Summer Graduation (conferment of undergraduate awards) is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th July 2018.

Eligible students will be contacted with details of their ceremony day and time closer to the time.
