Students Perform Post-Apocalyptic Drama

Drama students at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham, are taking their annual community performance to Ravens Ait Island this 2^nd and 3^rd May, for a post-apocalyptic production called The Project.

A dystopian world with a global food crisis and chaotic revolution, where governments and corporations work together to capitalise on consumerism, The Project, sees audience members ferried across the Thames to the destroyed island for an interactive performance. The Project has been created, directed and performed by final year Drama and Applied Theatre students in collaboration with renowned theatre director Chris Baldwin and International Youth Arts Festival director Aniela Zaba. Drama Programme Director Patsy Burn said, “This is the culmination of work from more than 30 students from our Applied Theatre course and we were delighted that students had the opportunity to work with industry professionals Chris and Aniela. “Our annual community production is one of the highlights of the year for Drama St Mary’s and, with this exciting new venue, this year is set to be no different.” The Project is being performed on Thursday 2^nd and Friday 3^rd May at Ravens Ait Island in Kingston.
