Dr Ivan Gibbons, Programme Director for Irish Studies at St Mary's University College, Twickenham interviews Emeritus Professor of Irish History Ronan Fanning (University College, Dublin). The interview followed a keynote lecture from Prof Fanning entitled 'The Role of Violence in Britain's Irish Settlements of 1921', which challenged some of the critical orthodoxies on the topic.
