St Mary’s University, Twickenham recently held its annual staff awards ceremony, which celebrates the success of those who have completed training courses offered as part of its staff development and continuing professional development (CPD) programme. St Mary’s Vice-Chancellor Dr Arthur Naylor presented 80 staff from across the University with awards for the participation in a variety of training courses including the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) certificates, BTEC Level Three CCTV Legislation and Delivering Exceptional Customer Service. Dr Arthur Naylor said, “People are our most valuable resource and our success relies on our ability to continuously develop and improve. St Mary’s is a strong community where staff and students know one another by name. I am delighted to offer my congratulations to everyone who has received an award.” St Mary’s Staff Development Manager Paula Keane added, “Our annual Staff Awards Ceremony provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of staff and work experience students throughout the academic year. Our staff form the heart of the University and the sense of community was evident by the number of people that attended to support their colleagues.” The University aims to provide a CPD environment that supports individuals throughout their career and offers a range of accredited and non-accredited courses to all staff throughout the year.
