St Mary’s Appoints Lecturer Mark Mackarel

The School of Management and Social Sciences at St Mary’s University, Twickenham appoints Mark Mackarel as Lecturer for the University’s Law programmes.

The School of Management and Social Sciences at St Mary’s University, Twickenham has appointed Mark Mackarel as Lecturer for the University’s Law programmes. Mark was previously a Lecturer at the University of Dundee (1997-2013) where he taught extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Mark has a particular teaching and research interest in international criminal law.  Moreover, he has published and presented on a range of issues relating to international crime and the cross border response to offences including a critique of the arrangements for the Lockerbie Trial, developments in law and procedure at international criminal tribunals and the development of improved means of exchanging fugitives and evidence between prosecuting authorities. He commented, “I am very happy to be joining St Mary's. The Law department is committed to developing top class law programmes and cultivating stimulating research and knowledge profile through the development of the Centre for Law and Culture which I am looking forward to contributing to.”
