St Mary’s to Host Workshop for Inter Faith Week

As part of National Inter Faith Week, St Mary’s University, Twickenham is hosting a workshop with the Three Faiths Forum (3FF).

As part of National Inter Faith Week, St Mary’s University, Twickenham is hosting a workshop with the Three Faiths Forum (3FF) to explore the impact of faith on daily life. The workshop, which is being held on Friday 21st November has been organised by St Mary’s Chaplaincy Centre as a way for students to learn about other faiths. ‘Encountering Faiths and Beliefs’ will welcome 3FF guest speakers Abigail, Nabeela and Anne of Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist faiths respectively, who will share their personal stories about how faith impacts their daily life. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to take part in a Q&A at the end of the discussion. Inter Faith Week aims to strengthen good inter faith relations, increase the awareness of the different faith communities in the UK, and increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs. It also reflects on the work done by local faith-based groups and organisations while celebrating diversity and developing communities. Caroline Stanton, St Mary’s Assistant Chaplain, said, “At St Mary’s we welcome a wide range of different faiths and so Inter Faith Week is a great opportunity to bring everyone together. We hope as many people as possible will take this opportunity to come along and deepen their understanding of different faiths and beliefs.” The workshop, which is free and open to all, will take place at 1.30pm at the University’s Strawberry Hill campus. To RSVP or for further information, please email Caroline Stanton at caroline.stanton@stmarys.ac.uk
