St Mary’s University, Twickenham has launched a new London Summer School, which will welcome its first cohort of students in June 2015. The credit-bearing programme, designed for undergraduate students enrolled at universities abroad, will provide exciting opportunities to develop knowledge across several subject areas, including History, Creative and Professional Writing, Media Arts, Philosophy, and Business and Law. Based at St Mary’s Strawberry Hill campus in London, the course will also offer the ideal chance to explore the rich intellectual, cultural and social offerings of the diverse city. The two-week courses, worth 15 UK credits (equivalent to 3 US credits) each, will run over a one-month period with participants invited to take one or, if desired, two subsequent modules. In order to maximise study time, students will be able to engage with subject materials online before arrival and submit their work after the programme has finished. St Mary’s Head of International Mariann Baker said, “As we enter our 165th year of education, we are delighted to launch our new Summer School programme and are already looking to expand the scheme in 2016 to include additional subjects in Theology, Education and Sport. “We look forward to welcoming students from our partner institutions and other universities around the world this summer.” Modules available are: Block One (6-20th June)
