St Mary's Alumnus Wins Four Emmy Awards

St Mary’s University, Twickenham alumnus Eamonn McCrystal, won four awards at this year’s Emmy Awards Ceremony in America.

St Mary’s University, Twickenham alumnus Eamonn McCrystal, won four awards at this year’s Emmy Awards Ceremony in America. Eamonn was nominated in four categories for his show entitled The Music of Northern Ireland, which was filmed in Northern Ireland and screened in the United States. The show included performances from renowned Northern Irish singers Brian Kennedy and Rachel Tucker. The show won awards for best Overall Arts/Entertainment programme, best On-Camera Talent/Performer, best Musical Arrangements, and Best Director of a Live or Recorded Live programme. Whilst at St Mary’s, Eamonn studied BA Media Arts and was instrumental in founding St Mary's University Community (SMUC) Radio, serving as the first Station Manager in 2008.
