Blog: For the Love of Learning

Learning is good for the soul and fertile minds need feeding. In the Centre for Short Courses at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, we believe it is never too late to try something new. Some of our short courses are offered over the weekend, whilst others are taught in the evening or during the day, to accommodate all types of lifestyles. In a recent study, 59% of respondents said they feel they are trapped in their current career path or line of work, with the biggest reason for this being the feeling they can’t progress any further and are bored in their current role. This led to 31% saying they think about changing career around once or twice a month. We recognise that our students may be returning to study for a career change, career progression, as a hobby or just for fun. Regardless of the reasons, our Short Courses provide you with the chance to study around other priorities in life, whatever age you are and whichever direction you’re heading in. The next courses start at St Mary’s start throughout February 2016, find out what you could study and book your place here.
