G.X. Cahill 1916 Centenary MA Irish Studies Scholarship at St Mary's

The MA Irish Studies Programme at St Mary’s University, Twickenham is pleased to announce two scholarships to the value of £1000 each to assist one International and one UK/EU full-time student for the academic year 2016/17. Marking the centenary year of the Easter 1916 Rising, the Centre for Irish Studies is grateful to the Estate of the late G.X. Cahill whose bequest make these scholarships possible. Applicants to the MA programme should possess a 2.1 undergraduate degree or international equivalent, find out more here. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants should write separately including a sample of academic writing in any discipline (2,500-3,500 words) relevant to an interdisciplinary Masters programme and a covering letter explaining your case for consideration to Prof Lance Pettitt: lance.pettitt@stmarys.ac.uk at the Centre for Irish Studies. The deadline for applications to this scheme is 27th May 2016. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by 7th June 2016. The successful applicants will carry the title of a ‘G.X. Cahill Scholar’ and take up their MA place in September 2016.
