The Centre for the Art of Dying Well at St Mary's University, Twickenham (SMU) will be hosting a special webinar panel on ‘The Road Ahead: Charting the Future for Digital Health in End-of-Life and Bereavement Care’.

The panel will be discussing emerging technologies and innovations set to transform the future of end-of-life care for both patients and grieving families.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 7th March 2024, 12pm.

The Centre’s aim is to help people live and die well, as well as be supported in grief.

The webinar will take the format of short presentations from different speakers, followed by a moderated panel discussion and audience Q&A session.

Featured speakers include distinguished experts with a background in technology and end-of-life care:

  • Professor Julia Riley - Palliative Care Consultant and Founder, Coordinate My Care
  • Professor Mike Bewick - Founding Dean, St Mary’s University Medical School; Former MSc graduate lead in Digital Health, UCLAN
  • Dr John Downey - Lecturer in Digital Health, University of Plymouth; Research Lead in End of Life Companionship project, the Centre for the Art of Dying Well
  • Dr Shaun Peter Qureshi - Palliative Care Physician; Research Lead ‘The Internet and the End of Life: Voices of the Dying’; Research Fellow, The Centre for the Art of Dying Well
