Analyses and Screening

Gait Analysis - from £99

Suitable For

Runners or walkers looking to better understand their movement patterns, discover the causes of previous injuries or identify muscle imbalances, injury risk and areas for improvement in performance.

What can I expect?
  • Movement Screening: This will involve a series of tests to look at your joint mobility, muscle flexibility, stability and movement control.
  • Foot Scan: We will look at your gait using our foot scan system. This allows us to see your contact pressures and loading pattern to analyse if you are loading efficiently.
  • Video gait Analysis: We will take video from two different angles and using video analysis software we will highlight your alignment, movement patterns and running style.

Sports injury screening - from £79

Suitable For

Individuals or sports teams wanting to identify strengths and weaknesses, movement faults, instabilities and risk of injury.

What can I expect?
  • Movement Control: In this part of the test we will look at your ability to control movements of the whole body, with the aim of assessing both your postural and sport specific stability.
  • Flexibility: We have chosen certain key areas of flexibility that we know often relate to injury and we will look at each of these to identify any tightness or over activity that you might have.
  • Strength: Our strength capacity tests give us an indication of your current strength levels in your legs, core and upper body and from this we can compare your results to data that we have for similar individuals.

Ultimate Running Analysis - £200

Suitable For

Experienced runners wanting optimise their training and improve performances while aiming to stay injury free.

What can I expect?
  • Lactate threshold profile: This test is a sub-maximal step-test, which involves running on a treadmill for three-minute stages at progressive running speeds. Heart rate, blood lactate and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) are measured at the end of each stage to create a physiological profile to guide training and monitor progress.
  • Running gait analysis: This includes a video analysis which allows us to highlight your alignment, movement patterns and running style. We also use a foot scan system to see your contact pressures and loading pattern in order to analyse for efficient loading. Lastly, a movement screening is carried out, involving a series of tests to look at your joint mobility, muscle flexibility, stability and overall movement control.

Please note: there may be a surcharge for peak times and out of hour bookings.
