Biography
James obtained his BSc in Biology and Sport Science at St Marys in 2000, focusing his third year dissertation on the influence of anthropometrically considered student workstation ergonomics on comfort and study performance.
Also holding a PGCHE in Academic Practice and ILM 4 certificate, James has moved from working as a Bio-Chemistry Technician specialising in microbiology, electrophoresis and spectrophotometry techniques to currently leading the School of SHAS’ Technical Services team in the development and support of an expanding portfolio of practical teaching laboratories.
Additionally overseeing the School’s role of Health and Safety Coordinator, offering significant experience in risk management and policy writing, James also makes teaching and training contributions to the School’s short courses programme and wider University staff CPD workshops.
