Jason has been qualified as a Solicitor for over 20 years. He has been responsible for business at Board level as a company director.

He started his career in private practice then in 2000 joined CEMEX a major Mexican Building Materials company turning over £1 billion in the UK. He was promoted to become General Counsel for UK and Ireland.

He then became a Director of over 200 CEMEX companies. Managed an in-house team of lawyers and other staff together with an external panel of law firms. Later appointed as Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering and Data Protection Officer plus became Financial Conduct Authority accredited.

Previous winner of ‘The Legal 500’ In-House individual of the year. In 2015 appointed to CEMEX Pension Fund Boards managing investments of £1.5 billion. Left CEMEX in 2016 and created JUS:Legal a bespoke consultancy providing in-house services to business.

First client was CEMEX then engaged by AWE (Atomic Weapons) for Ministry of Defence as interim General Counsel and Company Secretary. Then from December 2017 acting for the UK subsidiary of China General Nuclear a state-owned business developing Nuclear Power Plants worldwide.

In 2018 merged JUS:Legal with The Legal Director a law firm providing a retained in-house legal service. With a staff of 30 consultants across many different business sectors.
