Biography

Tom re-joined the team at St Mary's after working at the FA as a Senior Performance Analyst having previously worked at St Mary's as a Lecturer. He has over ten years’ experience as a Performance Analyst and has worked in elite youth Football development at Chelsea FC's academy as well as male and female national teams, including supporting the Senior Women's team in the 2015 FIFA World Cup and the Senior Men's UEFA Euro 2016 campaign.

Through Tom's previous roles, he has created new and innovative ways of assessing performance in a football setting, a theme which transfers to his work here at St Mary's too. Current research activity relates to Coaching through Games rather than 'drills' and preparation for performance in football.

Tom currently combines his work here on the MSc and FdA football coaching programmes with part-time commitments to the academy at Chelsea FC, working in the Performance Analysis and Sport Science departments.
