About Research

Tony Davies joined St Mary's in 2003 as a Senior Lecturer in Business Management. Previously, he had worked as a Field Director responsible for a group of higher education programmes franchised from a neighbouring university. He has also worked as a marketing research consultant for an agency in the telecom industry and directly for a pharmaceutical company, as well as once running his own business in the beer retailing sector.

He is ‘a pedagogue at heart’ and teach on a range of management subjects in the field of Marketing and Strategy, including Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship.

Research

Publications:

Anthony's primary interest is policy mediation at 'local levels' and the gaming behaviours arising from within institutional cultural paradigms.

External activities:

Held a series of external examiner and event validation roles.
