Scholarships for 2017/18

St Mary's University provide a variety of scholarships through the St Mary's Scholarship Scheme. This scheme for new first year Home/EU students in September 2017 is applicable to many, including scholarships designed for academic achieverscare leavers and Catholic school alumni.

Our range of sport scholarships and bursaries are open to new and existing students.

International students

There are also 15 scholarships available to new international undergraduate, taught postgraduate and foundation students. Please refer to the International Scholarships webpage for full details of these scholarships, including eligibility criteria.

We also offer Higher Education Scholarships for Palestine (HESPAL) - a joint award with the British Council - to help junior academic staff in Palestinian universities achieve an English Master's degree in a subject that will benefit their home institution in the Palestinian Territories.


There are several bursaries available at St Mary's. This includes the St Mary's Bursary, for undergraduate students with a household income of less than £25,000.

Our sport coaching bursary is also available for those who want to gain coaching, officiating and first aid qualifications.

PGCE students can apply for a bursary of up to £30,000.
