Benedict XVI House

Benedict XVI House is a lay community of St Mary’s University. The House was set up as a legacy of Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the University in September 2010 as a Catholic residential, spiritual and academic community of students studying at St Mary’s University.

Its purpose is to provide a space within the University for a small group consisting of one member of staff and ten students to live together as an intentional Catholic community. The ethos of the House is lived out in community, prayer and outreach.

There are currently ten places available to full time students of St Mary's University. The house is beautifully appointed, with a kitchen, dining room, living room and garden, as well as a small chapel  and on-site laundry facilities. Most study-bedrooms are en-suite and of a very high standard.
