St Mary's Chaplaincy

Welcome to the Chaplaincy section of the University website. I hope you find some helpful information on these webpages. Should you wish to know more please contact the Chaplain.

Whether you are a first-year beginning your studies, a student returning to St Marys, a PGCE student starting a post-grad course or a PhD student completing a doctorate, University is an exciting time of life. Your time at University brings many joys, some frustrations and many questions, about yourself, about what can I hope to achieve in life, about the meaning of life and about the state of the world. Included amongst each of these questions are those of faith.

One of the great pleasures of University life is the possibility of making life-long friends, engaging in serious conversations, and reflecting on your own aspiration of the future and your mission to the wider world. The Chaplaincy provides a convivial, faith orientated and open setting for just such an enterprise.

I look forward to meeting you whilst you are here and wish you well for your time at St Marys.
