Morning prayer

Each weekday morning at 8.30am we gather in the Crypt Chapel (under the main University Chapel), for twenty minutes, to celebrate the prayer of the Church (the Divine Office) consisting of psalms, readings and intercessions.

Ecumenical prayer with the scriptures

A group meets to read the Word of God together and share their insights each Tuesday at 5pm in the Crypt Chapel.

Praise and worship

Every other Tuesday, starting at 6pm there is charismatic prayer and song in the Crypt Chapel, followed by some shared social time. On the alternate Tuesday a group meets for prayer in the Maltfriscan tradition at 7.30 in the Crypt Chapel.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in the Crypt Chapel from 7.30-8.30pm each Friday. All most welcome to come and spend some time in quiet prayer in the presence of the Lord.

Sacramental preparation

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

An opportunity to find out more about the Catholic faith, whether you are interested in becoming a Catholic, receiving the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, or would just like to find out a bit more about Catholicism. Regular meetings are held throughout the academic year to help those who want to deepen their knowledge of the Catholic faith.

If interested please drop in to the Chaplaincy Centre.

Marriage and baptism

Many students and former students ask to have their wedding in the University Chapel or choose to have their children baptised if given permission from their local Parish Priest. Marriage and Baptism preparation programmes are organised in collaboration with the Diocese of Westminster.
