Chartered Management Institute logoChartered Management Institute (CMI)

CMI is a UK-based organisation that supports managers with ongoing professional development and guidance. They offer accreditation using the National Qualification Framework, from level 2 for aspiring managers, to level 8 for C-level managers.

CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership (subject to CMI moderation)

On successful completion of the degree you will be awarded the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. The Diploma is awarded if you have passed the appropriate modules.


Chartered Institute of Management Accounting logoChartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA)

CIMA is a UK body that supports management accountants with professional development and guidance. They provide a range of qualifications in accounting, including a Certificate in Business Accounting and professional qualifications at Operational, Management and Strategic level.

CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting

On successful completion of our programme you can claim exemptions from CIMA’s Certificate in Business Accounting (Certificate Level). Exemption means you will not need further assessment on a similar topic to achieve the professional qualification. These will apply on attainment of the appropriate modules.


Market Research Society logoMarket Research Society (MRS)

The MRS is the code-holding body within the UK for ethical standards in market and social research. All centres which are awarded MRS-accredited status are required to abide by both the standards and the values embodied in the MRS’s Code of Conduct.

St Mary’s university is an Accredited MRS Centre and students recruited onto the course meet or exceed the minimum entry requirements for the MRS qualification.

As an MRS Accredited Centre, St Mary’s provides an appropriate programme of support to enable students to meet the learning outcomes of the qualification.

The qualifying modules are:

  • COM4003: Consumer, Shopper and Audience Behaviour
  • MGT5028: Marketing Strategy and Implementation
  • MGT5029: Contemporary Marketing Practice
  • COM5005: Research Methods
  • MGT5030: Research Methods in Business and Management

Students can choose from any of the above modules to be exempt from taking the MRS Certificate syllabus requirements and assessment.
