Liberal Arts: Political Science Major

Combine a study of Political Science with a wide-ranging study of the Liberal Arts. Personalise your degree by choosing from a diverse range of Political Science and Liberal Arts Modules. Develop a reflective understanding of the world of politics in its local, national and international contexts. Understand the key theories, ideologies and developments that shape the current political climate. The course will train your thinking and strengthen your ability to compare political situations, institutions and movements. You will be taught by a mix of expert academics and industry professionals.

This course will equip you to find a fulfilling professional career, inside or outside the world of politics, through a combination of rigorous thinking and applied projects mentored by industry professionals.

Year one

In the first year, you'll study three core modules and three modules of your own choosing from across a minimum of two subjects.

Year two

You will study two core modules in the second year and select four optional modules. If you wish to follow the Political Science major pathway you will need to choose a minimum of three Political Science modules.

Year three

There is one core module in the third year and you will need to select an additional four optional modules. If you wish to follow The Political Science major pathway you will need to choose a minimum of three Political Science modules.
