Thank you for choosing St Mary’s and congratulations on being accepted into our Criminology and Sociology programme.

Although you are probably excited about starting your undergraduate studies, I am sure you are naturally a little apprehensive as well. The purpose of the welcome letter below is to give you some information you may find useful before you join us in September.

Your induction timetable

During your first week at St Mary's you'll attend a series of induction sessions to help settle you into the University and the course. Your timetable for the rest of the semester will be given to you during the induction week.

  • Sunday 8th September, 8am-6pmRegistration open (students living in University accommodation only)
  • Monday 9th September, 9am-5pmRegistration open (all other students)
  • Monday 9th September, 1-2pmStudent essentials (K217/K222)
  • Monday 9th September, 4-6pmWelcome to Criminology and Sociology (G3)
  • Tuesday 10th September, 10am-12pmKingston crime walk and observations
    Meet by reception, between 9.30-9.45am. We will walk to Strawberry Hill to make the 10.07am train for Kingston. You are advised to bring your travel card with you if you have one.
  • Tuesday 10th September, 1-3pmMeet the 'CSY' (B13)
  • Wednesday 11th September, 2-4pmMeet your programme team (G3)
  • Friday 13th September, 1-2pmStudent life (K217/K222)

If, for any reason, you are unable to make it to the Student Essentials talk on Monday, we will be repeating it on Thursday 12th September, 12-1pm in K217/K222.
