We are very pleased to welcome you to the Psychology Programme at St Mary’s, which is part of the Faculty of Sport, Health and Applied Science.
We look forward to meeting you all as you take the first steps towards your future career and personal goals. The Programme Team within Psychology continues to be noted for its friendly and student-focused approach.
In cooperation with the University and the Student Psychology Society we will be hosting some events to help you get to know us, your fellow students and to help you settle into this new chapter of your life.
We are looking forward to having you here and helping you to reach your ambitions.

Your induction timetable
We have several events planned during the induction week, which will be followed on by other events within the programme throughout the academic year.
For induction week, we will be meeting you to welcome you and introduce you to the team, as well as give you an overview of the upcoming academic year. We then will be having a lunch social to introduce you to some of the service personnel on campus (such as librarians, Student Services, Employability Services) and fellow psychology students in years two and three.
The lunch social is being hosted by the Student Psychology Society. Following lunch you will have the opportunity to meet your Personal Tutor and Peer Mentor, who will take you over to formally register.
- Sunday 8th September, 8am-6pm: Registration open (students living in University accommodation only)
- Monday 9th September, 9am-5pm: Registration open (all other students)
