Additional requirement information

Candidates must satisfy the general admission requirements of St Mary’s University as outlined in the Admissions Policy.

Applicants are expected to have a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree (or international equivalent) in any subject. Candidates with significant management experience may be admitted to the programme without a degree or degree equivalent qualifications if they can demonstrate their potential to meet the learning requirements of the programme.

All offers are made subject to two satisfactory reference letters.

International Requirements

International students should check our country-specific pages for equivalents. If English is not your first language you will need to achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any section.

We now accept IELTS Indicator test results as proof of your English language level.

Funding Information

St Mary’s MBA Scholarship

This scholarship gives students a £2,500 tuition fee discount in their first year of MBA. It is automatically applied to all offer-holders of the academic year 2024/25 for the full-time one-year course paying the international fees.

Applicants do not need to make a separate scholarship application and will receive a scholarship offer letter within six weeks of receiving their offer of study. Student cannot combine this award with another scholarship at the University.

Additional costs

Your tuition fees will cover the cost of all mandatory elements of your programme. Additional costs could be incurred depending on optional modules chosen and other projects undertaken.

Alumni discount

A 20% tuition fee discount is available for our alumni (undergraduate and PGCE) planning to study this Master's degree. Those studying for a PGDip of PGCert are not eligible for the discount.

Funding

You can check on the UK government website to see if you may be eligible for a loan of up to £12,167 to help with course fees and living costs while you study a postgraduate programme.

Home and international students may also be eligible for external sources of funding. International students should check their eligibility for our International Scholarship.

Assessment methods

The assessment strategy leads to a holistic demonstration of your knowledge and understanding. All core elements of a module are assessed. You will complete summative and formative assessments. There is a variety of assessment types that reflect the demands and requirements of modern businesses. You'll have an element of choice so that you can demonstrate your interests and maximum potential.
