About ReflectED
Our vision
ReflectED seeks to be a vibrant, collaborative platform that amplifies the voices of emerging and established academics alike. Rooted in the values of reflection, scholarship and community, the journal aims to nurture an inclusive research culture at St Mary’s University.
It provides a platform for collaborative, close-to-practice research and is committed to transformative pedagogy. ReflectED celebrates intellectual curiosity, encourages interdisciplinary dialogue and supports the development of researchers and practitioners at every stage of their academic journey.
Our purpose and aims
- Enable the dissemination of research: Provide a high-quality, accessible outlet for ongoing and completed research from within and beyond St Mary’s University.
- Foster collaboration: Bring together researchers, practitioners and students through shared enquiry and knowledge exchange.
- Develop academic capability: Offer practical opportunities and structured support for writing, editing and peer review, helping contributors engage confidently in scholarly publishing.
- Reflect educational practice and research: Highlight work aligned with the mission and values of the Research Centre for Education, promoting reflective and evidence-informed approaches to teaching, learning and leadership.

Explore current and previous volumes of ReflectED. Each issue brings together research, professional practice and critical perspectives from across the education community.
Guidelines for contributors
Article contributions
Calls for papers will be circulated periodically and may focus on a particular theme or topic. Guest editors may also lead special issues. Submissions are welcome from authors working in all educational contexts.

Review process
All contributions are reviewed by two members of the ReflectED review team before digital publication. All communication about submissions and publication will be managed through the editors.
