A one-day conference for Early Career Teachers on practical strategies and understandings for working with children and young people with SEND.
Presentations and workshops will be given by established practitioners and specialists across a range of SEND topics: Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory impairment, speech and language, the role of the SENCO, the SEND Code of Practice in action.
A special keynote lecture will be given by Peter Imray:
Curriculum, assessment and progress of children with SEND
There will be opportunities to look at resources and talk to local support groups during breaks between sessions. The focus will be on giving you real-world understandings and ideas that you can incorporate into your daily practice to enrich the learning and teaching of everyone in your inclusive classroom.
