St Mary’s University Coaching Forum

St Mary’s University's School for Sport, Exercise and Applied Sciences is hosting a ‘Coaching Forum’ to review the role of coaching and education in performance settings.

The forum is open to coaches of all levels and will include the opportunity to network with other educators and coaches, hear from experienced industry experts and ask questions in our panel discussion at the end of the evening.

Event is free to all current St Mary’s University students (reg number will be required when booking for free entry).

All FA accredited coaches will receive three hours CPD.

Schedule

  • Arrival & networking from 6pm.
  • Guest presentations to begin at 6.30pm.
  • Presentations and panel discussion.

Guest speakers

  • Keith Boanas: manager of Millwall Lionesses, UEFA pro-license, coach educator.
  • Stuart Carrington: lecturer, author of Blowing the Whistle, The Psychology of Football Refereeing.
  • Russell Earnshaw: coach educator and founder of ‘The Magic Academy’.
  • Deena Blacking: cycling coach and consultant working in professional road cycling
  • Tom Hounsell: academy insight manager and U21 coach at Fulham FC, PhD student at Leeds Beckett.
  • Laura Turner-Alleyne: former international sprinter, Commonwealth Games gold medal winner, and now club head coach and engagement lead with the British Athletics Futures Programme.
