ISAK Conference 2024 - XVIII world conference on kinanthropometry - 5th August

The conference will provide a platform for attendees to share their research and practical experiences, collaborate with like-minded colleagues, and learn about the latest developments in the field of anthropometry. From experts in the field, to emerging practitioners and scientists, we look forward to welcoming you all at the ISAK Conference 2024 on Kinanthropometry, where we can embrace and share our passion for anthropometry, and foster the collective spirit of the ISAK network.

Programme and speakers

The theme of our ISAK Conference 2024 is ‘Theory to Practice’, which aims to bridge the gap between research and real-world application. Our three-day programme includes keynotes, invited speakers and a discussion panel, in addition to free communications sessions and poster displays.

Abstract submissions - now closed

We warmly welcome abstract submissions for the conference. Abstracts will be selected to give either an oral presentation or produce a poster for display. All abstracts must be submitted online by the new extended deadline of Friday 29th March 2024, 5pm (GMT). Please read the abstract submission guidelines prior to submission.

Conference registration - now closed

Conference registration includes all scientific sessions, refreshments and lunch at the conference venue, and conference material (bag, programme). There are various registration categories available. Please check which one applies to you.

Please note registration will close on Friday 19th July 11.59pm BST.

Early bird (on or before 15th April 2024)

  • ISAK professional member: £240*
  • student (undergraduate or postgraduate): £210**
  • others: £280

Standard registration (after 15th April 2024)

  • ISAK professional member: £270*

* ISAK membership will be verified against the ISAK membership database.

Optional extras

Gala Dinner

There is the option to book your place at the Gala Dinner which will take place on 6th August. This includes a three-course meal and a drink for a cost of £50.

ISAK Re-accreditation Opportunity

We will be running ISAK re-accreditation opportunities for all levels on the 4th August (exact timings to be confirmed). These will take place at St Mary’s University and places will be available on a first-come first-served basis. For Level 1 and 2 reaccreditations the fee is £40 for student members and £80 for professional members. For level 3 and 4 reaccreditations the fee is £120. Please note the deadline to book is Sunday 30th June 11.59pm BST. Book your place now to avoid disappointment.

Conference venue, travel, and accommodation

Venue

The ISAK Conference 2024 on Kinanthropometry is being held at St Mary’s University. Our beautiful Strawberry Hill campus encompasses stunning 19th Century listed buildings set in extensive grounds and is one of London’s top-performing sports institutions. Our £8.5m Olympic standard sports centre was home to athletes from ten teams during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Today, it is a regular training ground for many international athletes.

Accommodation

On-site accommodation

We can offer on-site accommodation for £66 per night including breakfast, or £58.50 per night on a room only basis. Situated at the far end of the sports field and the running track, our De Marilac accommodation offers en-suite bedrooms and use of good sized kitchenette facilities.

Once a booking has been confirmed, any cancellation must be made in writing to St Mary’s University Conferencing and Events Department at conferences@stmarys.ac.uk.

In the event of cancellation, the following cancellation charges shall apply:

Period before event and accommodation cost to be made

  • 3-6 months: 50%
  • Less than 3 months: 75%
  • Less than 1 month: 100%
