This page outlines the key deadlines and important dates for international students who require a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). It is essential that you work to meet each stage of the process to ensure there is sufficient time for your visa application.

Please note that all deadlines are subject to change and are dependent on UKVI processing times.

Important information

• We strongly recommend preparing documentation early and submitting your visa application at least 6 weeks before your course start date
• The latest arrival date is the final date by which you must be in the UK attending classes.
• If you submit your visa application after 1st August, we would strongly advise you to use a priority visa service to ensure a decision is received before the start of term.
• Failure to meet deadlines may result in your CAS being delayed or withdrawn.

Applicants applying inside the UK

If you are eligible to submit a visa extension and will be applying for your student visa from within the UK, please see important information below:

• The latest arrival date is the final date by which you must have submitted your visa application and joined classes.
• Failure to meet deadlines may result in your CAS being delayed or withdrawn.
