Late arrivals: International induction

We’re looking forward to you joining our diverse community of students at St Mary’s – our Simmies – and supporting you anytime you need us.

In-person sessions

International Induction is designed to help you settle into university life and access all the essential information you need before starting your studies.

These sessions mirror those delivered during the first week and are provided again to support students who have arrived later.

The in-person sessions are delivered by key university departments and offer practical guidance on living in the UK as an International student, understanding visa responsibilities, and making the most of student services.

To get the best start at St Mary’s, it’s important to attend the . This will be an opportunity to meet university staff, receive key information all in one place, and ask any questions you may have about your upcoming studies. Please note that these sessions will be recorded. If you have an important course induction to attend, prioritise that and catch up with the recorded sessions at a later date.

Your new home, your Simmies: in-person sessions

All sessions will take place in lecture room F6 on Wednesday, 21 January to the 22 of January.

In addition, there will be a Q&A drop-in session on Thursday, 22 January, from 4pm to 5pm in room F6. This is a great opportunity to speak with the team and ask any personalised questions you may have.

Find a copy of the digital campus map on the .

Please email if you have any questions regarding the in-person sessions.
