Drama students at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham are to perform their last play as part of their Spring and Summer season on Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th May.
The MA Physical Theatre students return to the stage with their new show Incognito, a play devised from Nikolai Gogol’s The Government Inspector. The play, directed by Anna Healey, takes pace in a small town which is home to an unscrupulous and chaotic boarding school for girls. Panic soon ensues over the news that a school inspector will be investigating the academy and that he may already be there.
The students have been in rehearsal for the show since their last production, The Story of a Room, finished in March. Programme Director Kasia Zaremba-Byrne said, “We’re delighted to see Anna Healey return to direct this production. This has been a really fantastic season of Physical Theatre work, and I’m sure this production will be a fitting finale.”
The Drama St Mary’s spring and summer season will conclude with a series of productions in the West End. Undergraduate Drama and Theatre Arts will showcase their work at the Soho Theatre in Central London, followed by the MA Physical Theatre and MA Directing students showcasing their graduate work at the Tristan Bates Theatre.
