On Tuesday 1st October, St Mary’s University College, Twickenham is officially launching its new Research Centre for the Philosophy of History.
Forming part of St Mary’s School of Arts and Humanities, the new Centre will act as a hub for activities that promote scholarly research and research-led teaching in the field of the philosophy of history. With work across disciplines, the Centre will encourage and facilitate research around philosophical discussion of historical practices towards questions of ethics and social solidarity.
The celebratory event will officially launch the Centre with discussions and a question and answer session with some of the academics involved in the Centre including Alun Munslow (Professorial Research Fellow at St Mary's), Keith Jenkins (Professor Emeritus at Chichester University) Nur Masalha (Professor at St Mary’s), and Martin Davies (Reader Emeritus at the University of Leicester).
