Earlier this week, St Mary’s University College, Twickenham held a celebratory event for staff after several of its Schools and Professional Services Departments were awarded with the coveted Investors in People (IiP) accreditation.
Awarded by personnel management specialists, Investors in People, the accreditation recognises St Mary’s work towards enhancing employee engagement, performance improvement, and management effectiveness. The Information technology, Student Services, Information Services departments, and the School of Management and Social Sciences were recognised after being given the award last year. They join the Human Resources department and School of Sport, Health and Applied Science, who were accredited in January.
The School of Education and the Catering department were also re-accredited.
St Mary’s Staff Development Manager Paula Keane said, “These Schools and Professional Services have been awarded the Investors in People standard, a nationally recognised people management standard, demonstrating that they are dedicated to the people who make it work.”
