St Mary’s University College, Twickenham, is celebrating the success of its ‘Learn a Language’ course with an official launch reception on Thursday 28th November.
The Centre for Short Courses and Continuing Professional Development launched the new language classes in September with a range of courses including beginners’ Spanish, Italian and British Sign Language (BSL), advanced English, and conversational French.
The lunchtime and early evening sessions, open to staff, students and members of the public, proved to be immensely popular with additional classes opened to cater to demand. Now, new classes have been planned for January including beginners’ German and French along with pre-intermediate Spanish and British Sign Language.
To celebrate this success and the launch of the new programmes, St Mary’s us hosting an official launch reception on Thursday 28th November from 4.45pm to 5.30pm at its Strawberry Hill campus. It will provide the ideal opportunity for tutors and learners to enjoy a celebratory drink, and anyone interested in finding out more about the classes are invited to come along for an informal chat.
St Mary’s Director of Enterprise and Business Development Catherine Sheppard commented, “We are delighted that the courses are so popular, especially as this offers a great opportunity for our staff and students to engage with the local community.”
The Learn a Language Courses start from just £90. For more information, or to book your place at the launch reception please email languages@stmarys.ac.uk. For more details of the January courses please visit the website.
