Final year Drama students at St Mary’s University, Twickenham are preparing to hold the second annual T-Junction festival showcasing a variety of written and devised theatrical pieces.
Drama St Mary’s answer to the Edinburgh Fringe, The T-Junction Festival will run from Tuesday 11th to Saturday 15th November at St Mary’s very own theatre.
10 student companies will perform over the course of the week, demonstrating their creative prowess and imaginative dexterity. Last year’s festival sold out with over 1,000 visitors attending five days’ eclectic entertainment with many of our students going on to develop their work further, touring at festivals across the UK.
Academic Director Mark Griffin said, “We’re delighted to present this body of exciting new work in a festival format and really hope audiences will enjoy the multitude of stories and wide range of ideas on show. It really is a wonderful and dynamic way to bring our 60 final year students together in an event that celebrates both their individual talents and their camaraderie as ensemble theatre makers.”
The festival is open to members of the public and all shows will be performed in the Drama St Mary’s Theatre at its Strawberry Hill campus. Festival passes are £10 and allow audiences into all shows over the course of the week.
