Following the announcement of a £350,000 investment in the media production studios at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, the first images of the new facilities have been released.
The existing TV and media studio, which is used by students in St Mary’s School of Arts and Humanities, will be redeveloped this year, ensuring students have access to the latest, professional grade, creative technologies in media production and theatre design.
It will offer industry standard film, television and audio production facilities, alongside creative and technical theatre design and visualisation capabilities. There will also be a brand new computer suite with the latest Apple MacPro workstations, offering students 24-hour access to professional grade technologies.
The new facility will be officially opened in September, but those eager to get a first glimpse are encouraged to take a look at the first CGI walk-through video of both the TV and production studios.
