Lacrosse player and health journalist Danny Buckland recently visited the St Mary’s Clinic at St Mary’s University, Twickenham to gain insight into what players will go through during the 2014 World Lacrosse Championship in Denver.
Temperatures are set to reach 100F in Denver during the competition and Danny wanted to test the temperature and altitude conditions that Team England will have to face by visiting the Clinic twice.
Running on a treadmill while hooked to a monitor that observed his heart rate, oxygen levels, blood lactate levels and breathing, Danny found that the controlled conditions altered his mentality as well as the physical changes to his body.
